TNG Digital and PayNet Launch ‘Cashless Seja Bah!’ Campaign in Sabah to Promote Digital Payments
TNG Digital and PayNet have initiated the ‘Cashless Seja Bah!’ campaign in Sabah, focusing on promoting cashless transactions. The campaign, launched at Gaya Street Night Market, Kota Kinabalu, introduces Touch ‘n Go eWallet as a digital payment method for local transactions.
The initiative offers cashback when using the eWallet via DuitNow QR payments at participating merchants. It also provides reward points for each RM1 spent, redeemable for various rewards.
The TNG Digital and PayNet collaboration aligns with ongoing efforts to increase cashless transactions in Sabah for simplified and secure financial interactions.
Mohd Herman Sarbini, Chief Operating Officer of TNG Digital Sdn Bhd said,
“We observe significant progress in the adoption of cashless transactions in Peninsular Malaysia, particularly in urban communities with a higher concentration of digitally savvy users. To contribute to Malaysia’s complete transition into a cashless society, we as the country’s most preferred eWallet, are championing and supporting our friends in East Malaysia to embrace cashless transactions.”
“Peninsular Malaysian tourists contribute significantly to inbound tourism in Sabah, with a spending of RM1.7 billion out of RM2.7 billion (63.7 percent) in 2022. Through these campaigns, we aim to empower Sabah’s vibrant communities and micro-entrepreneurs by offering the convenience of cashless transactions,”
said Gary Yeoh, Chief Commercial Officer of PayNet.
